RAVES ABOUT  Tom Kelley

“Tom was an incredible facilitator for our organization’s mediation session. Within minutes of taking our first collective breath together, he was able to foster an environment of openness and truthfulness. He gave everyone the space to feel as vulnerable as they were comfortable with, which ensured everyone felt safe sharing their own stories, their own pains, and their own discomforts. Tom was incredibly moving, caring and forgiving. I truly believe our group would not be as strong as it is today without him.”

“Tom has been an amazing facilitator in the art of moving out of our comfort zones. I can tell you from personal experience his groups have been powerful forces to help me overcome the hidden obstacles to be more aware and reach for new experiences. He has a keen ability to understand and glean insights from our meetings that leave you wondering — ” Wow, I never thought of it that way”. To know Tom and be be part of his programs is the first step a man can take breaking out of our isolating, average existence and realize the innate awesomeness we have within.”

He is schooled in the transformational impact of diet, having graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York with a Certificate in Health Coaching. He leads Men’s Awareness and Alternatives to Violence Project workshops for prison inmates and has facilitated transformational men’s groups for years in the New York metro area. He led a successful career in media sales and was on both great sales teams and lousy ones, distilling the best aspects of leadership and human behavior from a tough profession. Tom studied and sat in ceremony with Ecuadorian Shaman in the Andes Mountains and Amazon jungle, and gone deep into the teachings of David Deida, Carlos Casteneda, Joseph Campbell, John Perkins, Maturana and Varela and many others. He contemplated the Zen Koan Who Is In? at an Ashram in India and completed the first Shift Men’s Initiation in CA. Tom explored his mortality after a diagnosis of Aplastic Anemia, a potentially fatal blood disease. Spent a full month in isolation in Sloan Kettering Hospital undergoing a bone-marrow transplant. And documented the ordeal and recovery. He is a proud husband and father living in Nyack, NY.
